I think we can all agree that Warhol, among other pop-artists, succeeded in challenging the definition and appropriate boundaries of "art."N_O_R_T_O_Nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622592770239984942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3638387556551184436.post-23053903511304137562010-05-15T14:39:57.378-04:002010-05-15T14:39:57.378-04:00Hmm... if his fame makes everything he does art, d...Hmm... if his fame makes everything he does art, does that mean Katie Price's books are literature? I don't think high vs low is relevant to the post since Andy Warhol is essentially a pop star. Actually I think most post-WW2 artists, even Modernists, are "low art". You can tag them as "I like this" on Facebook, wear a shirt with their a picture of their face on it and put a poster of their work on your bedroom and nobody would find it weird.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3638387556551184436.post-82672485571316903552010-05-01T03:44:10.470-04:002010-05-01T03:44:10.470-04:00this is also about the meeting of high and low. o...this is also about the meeting of high and low. or maybe the high in the low? seeing the beauty in everyday objectsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3638387556551184436.post-30220502153902898722010-04-29T23:48:44.174-04:002010-04-29T23:48:44.174-04:00Your post is inspiring.Your post is inspiring.zMasqueradehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07011392765816175023noreply@blogger.com
